Crochet Santa Headband

Let's start off this December with an older pattern of mine. What is Christmas without a cosy and funky headband?

Notes-

· This pattern is in US terminology.

· Chain 1 doesn’t count as a stitch.

Abbreviations-

· Ch = Chain

· St(s) = Stitch(es)

· Sc = Single Crochet

· Hdc = Half Double Crochet

· FLO = Front Loops Only

Materials-

· Aran (Worsted weight) Yarn in Red, White, Black and Yellow.

I used Paintbox Simply Aran in Rose Red, Paper White, Pure Black and Daffodil Yellow

· White eyelash yarn. I used King Cole Moments in White.

· 4mm Crochet Hook

· 5mm Crochet Hook

· Scissors

· Yarn Needle

Click the affiliate link below to purchase the yarn used in this pattern, at no extra cost to you.

Tips-

· If you’re chain tends to be tighter than the rest of your headband, use the 5mm crochet hook for the chain and then the 4mm crochet hook for the headband.

· Crochet into the back ‘bumps’ of the chain for a neater finish.

· Feel free to change the number of chains needed, this headband measures 20 inches in total so add or subtract chains to fit your head. Remember to add one chain for turning.

‘Buckle’-

Sew the two short sides together using tail end. Fold the seam in half and then fold either

Cut a length of yellow yarn and thread it. Sew this yarn through the front ‘pinched’ part of the headband several times until you’re happy with the look. Weave in both ends.

You have now finished your Santa Headband!

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Happy crocheting!
